Vocablet of the Day: Proliferation

Today’s Vocablet features a photo that only seems ominous when you realize the story is reminiscent of that Hitchcock film, The Birds:

The proliferation (Parakeet Invasion) Vocablet is about the recent invasion of rose-ringed parakeets to London suburbs.  The birds are of African origin, and scientists don’t know what has caused their rapid increase in number, though they do agree that the birds could become a significant agricultural pest if their population cannot be controlled.

Related Words: reproductive, procreate
